I also have my own story-horror about Lombok and I will tell her too today. My story happened in 2012, but since then the situation on Lombok has not improved, although tourists have become an order of magnitude more. And yes, I understand that this is a personal choice of everyone, go or not to go to Lombok, but I want to spend time and call everyone who reads these pages to "ban" Lombok for visiting. And although I am terribly missing this island, and constantly rummaged there to go there again, I still did not in vain consciously did not go there for many years. And I will not go. I do not know where to turn, our trouble happened on vacation. Today on us with my boyfriend right on the road, two local guys were attacked. We stayed in Kuta [Lombok, too, there is a Kuta, approx. At that moment, the first attacker had already grabbed my scooter, and the second one ran to meet my friend with a stick and waving a machete. We ran back, the attacker sat on the bike of my boyfriend and both left our bikes. We ran behind them, shouted, called us help, but it did not lead to anything. Everything happened seconds for 10. The road was empty, people appeared only in 30-60 seconds.
In the bikes in your pockets, we had phones, documents and money were in a backpack at my boyfriend, his robbers were taken. Everything was on the busy track, just we were not lucky, and at that moment we were completely alone there. After that, the locals took us to the nearest police station, and we spent five hours with policemen. First we went to the crime scene, where there were pieces of broken headlights of my bike and a stick, which hit me. Also, the police took us to the local hospital, where they recorded wounds and bruises, which were quite a few after the fall.

Of course, I don't even want to remember all the details of that evening and that night, because even now, when I write these lines, inside me again, the fear of my life at the same time, hatred for such a record and understanding of full impotence in front of this crowd.
