An excerpt characterizing Bashkir Airlines

For three minutes everyone was silent. "Certainly!" whispered Natasha and did not finish ... Suddenly Sonya pushed aside the mirror she was holding and covered her eyes with her hand.
- Ah, Natasha! - she said.
- Did you? Have you seen? What did you see? - Natasha screamed, supporting the mirror.
Sonya did not see anything, she just wanted to blink her eyes and get up when she heard Natasha's voice, who said "certainly" ... She did not want to deceive either Dunyasha or Natasha, and it was hard to sit. She herself did not know how and as a result of which a cry escaped from her when she closed her eyes with her hand.
- Did you see him? Natasha asked, grabbing her hand.
- Yes. Wait ... I ... saw him, - Sonya involuntarily said, not yet knowing who Natasha meant by his word: him - Nikolai or him - Andrey.
“But why shouldn't I say what I saw? After all, others see! And who can convict me of what I saw or did not see? " flashed in Sonya's head.
“Yes, I saw him,” she said.
- How? How is it? Is it standing or lying?
- No, I saw ... That was nothing, suddenly I see that he is lying.
- Is Andrey lying? He is sick? - Natasha asked with frightened fixed eyes looking at her friend.
“No, on the contrary,” on the contrary, a cheerful face, and he turned to me, “and the minute she spoke, it seemed to her herself that she saw what she was saying.
- Well, then, Sonya? ...
- Here I did not consider that something blue and red ...
- Sonya! when will he return? When I see him! My God, how I am afraid for him and for myself, and for everything I am afraid ... - Natasha spoke, and without answering a word to Sonya's consolations, she went to bed and for a long time after they had extinguished the candle, with open eyes, lay motionless on bed and looked at the frosty moonlight through the frozen windows.

Soon after Christmastide, Nikolai announced to his mother his love for Sonya and his firm decision to marry her. The Countess, who had noticed for a long time what was happening between Sonya and Nikolai, and was expecting this explanation, silently listened to his words and told her son that he could marry whoever he wanted; but that neither she nor his father would give him the blessing for such a marriage. For the first time, Nikolai felt that his mother was unhappy with him, that despite all her love for him, she would not yield to him. She, coldly and not looking at her son, sent for her husband; and when he arrived, the countess wanted to briefly and coldly tell him what the matter was in the presence of Nicholas, but could not resist: she wept with tears of annoyance and left the room. The old count began to hesitantly advise Nicholas and ask him to abandon his intention. Nikolai replied that he could not change his word, and the father, sighing and obviously embarrassed, very soon interrupted his speech and went to the countess. In all the clashes with his son, the count did not leave the consciousness of his guilt in front of him for the upsetting of affairs, and therefore he could not be angry with his son for refusing to marry a rich bride and for choosing a dowry Sonya - he only remembered more vividly on this occasion that, if things were not upset, it was impossible for Nikolai to wish for a better wife than Sonya; and that he is the only one guilty of upsetting affairs with his Mitenka and with his irresistible habits.

Bashkir Airlines

In 1998 Bashkir Airlines celebrated its 65th anniversary.
The official date of formation of the airline "Bashkir Airlines" is July 7, 1933, when an independent detachment of agricultural aviation was formed on the territory of our republic, part of which was engaged in the delivery of mail. This event was preceded by the arrival in 1932 in Ufa, the capital of the Republic, of the aviation link of the Middle Volga Agricultural Aviation Base.
The pioneers of the Ufa aviation unanimously set about solving urgent problems, and there were many of them. This includes aviation-chemical work to combat pests of agricultural crops, and aerial sowing of winter crops, and the provision of urgent medical care.
But the history preceding the creation of the Bashkir Aviation began its chronology long before 1933. The first mention of aviation can be found in newspapers during the civil war.
Bashkir Airlines, the national airline of the Republic of Bashkortostan, is based at the international airport of Ufa, located in the center of the Russian Federation. The priority of the company is, first of all, the interests of clients. Bashkir Airlines strives to enter the international level of service, using the advanced experience of foreign and domestic companies. Throughout its long history of existence, the airline has followed the path of consistent, dynamic development, a high level of flight safety and quality passenger service. Rest assured that your trip will be of the highest standard.

The sunset of the airline BAL began with the tragedy over Lake Constance. Oddly enough, but it was the crash of this plane that provoked the fall into the abyss of an entire enterprise. The circumstances of the disaster proved that there was no fault of the Bashkir crew. The BAL airline, by the grace of the Swiss dispatch service, suffered colossal damage, but neither at the republican nor at the Russian level did anyone consider it their duty to take care of reimbursing the cost of the crashed TU-154. But behind this seemingly (against the background of human losses), mercantile interest stood the fate of hundreds of people who at first suffered from salary delays, and later were completely left without a piece of bread. But this tragedy is only one link in the chain of circumstances, in which the civil aviation of the republic was held captive. Probably, someone needed it, or rather, it was profitable: to bankrupt a stable, reliable (safety was above all) and powerful (in terms of flight geography) airline. And those who could intervene and influence simply did not care about the collapse of the BAL.

As a result, we have what we have: for example, a museum of the history of civil aviation of the republic in the administrative building of the Ufa airport, which is often visited with interest by schoolchildren, admiring the former glory of the wings of Bashkiria. By the way, it was in the Ufa squadron that there was a very serious training complex, where pilots from the entire Volga region came to train. I'm not sure what the guides are talking about, but I still want to give a couple of examples that testify to the high professionalism of the Bashkir aviators.

During the landing approach, the TU-154 did not release one chassis. The commander of the crew, Alik Utyashev, decided to land the plane. The runway was "occupied" by fire trucks, ambulances ... The board landed, as they say, without a hitch. The passengers did not even have time to get scared, since most likely they did not know about what had happened. The commander stood at the gangway and, watching how all the joyful and unharmed leave the side, remarked with some humor:

If only one young lady would kiss!

But soon "Volga" "kissed" him - the car, which was presented to him as a reward for the heroism shown during the landing of a faulty aircraft. Once during towing, the coupler fell off and hit the jaw: both rows of teeth were killed. Then the drivers greeted him for a long time and joked: "Well, pilot, whose job is more dangerous for us?"

In another emergency, a military transport plane suffered a cabin depressurization at high altitude and the pilots lost consciousness. The car circled over Ufa, threatening to crash onto the city at any moment. Flight director Ivan Andreev did the impossible: he managed to bring the “cut down” people to their senses from the ground by radio communication. This is communicated easily and quickly, and when the plane landed and the air traffic controller left the office, his snow-white uniform shirt had to be wrung out like after washing.

And how many more such specialists multiplied the glory of the Bashkir aviation and worked for the good of the people, and then for no reason they were out of work. Now our pilots have scattered among the surviving or newly formed airlines, into which the incomparable Aeroflot split up, like Ancient Russia once into specific principalities. The country at that time was losing power and strength, and the air fleet is now - security and reliability.

However, there is still gunpowder in the flasks. There is the airline "Bashkortostan", which is registered on the territory of the republic as a subsidiary of VIM-AVIA and, therefore, pays taxes to the republican budget. True, the planes take off not from our airport, but from Moscow. But the flight personnel have not yet transferred, having families in Ufa, the pilots are working in other cities. And Bashkir passengers fly by Orenburg, Tyumen and Moscow planes. And at the same time, I remember how we, stepping on board our own plane in some Arab Emirates, believed that we were already almost in our native land. But this is all lyrics.

An average airline with 15 - 20 aircraft generates income, which means that it pays taxes incomparably more than any airport in Russia, except, of course, the giant Moscow air hub. If you look around, even a person who does not very often fly by air will easily notice how, for example, the rather modest Orenburg airlines in the old days, which naturally infiltrated our former airspace and are successfully developing, are flourishing, largely thanks to the funds raised from the transportation of Bashkir passengers ... The residents of Orenburg, having fifteen Boeing-737s, have already purchased the third plane - Boeing-777 and began to feel more confident not only in the Russian sky. Our other neighbor, Tatarstan Airlines, just recently signed a number of commercial agreements with Turkish Airlines, and now Kazan passengers will be able to fly both in Russia and around the world with discounts on tickets of Tatarstan Airlines on Turkish flights. All this will make it possible to turn the Kazan airport into a federal transport hub.

It is clear that the presence of our own airline allows you to regulate ticket prices, but while in Ufa they are growing rapidly, which is especially sad in the midst of the holiday season. You can even fly to Moscow in the cheapest economy class for about seven thousand rubles, which is only an hour and a half of flight time. And how much then a ticket to some foreign darkness or to the Kuril Islands costs, it’s scary to imagine.

And one more sad nuance: Ufa airport is forced to lag significantly behind in development, without having a base airline, since without it it is impossible to dramatically increase profitability and plan an optimal schedule. All these problems can be solved only if the republic has its own carrier. It has become almost impossible to create an airline from scratch in our country. But trying to give development to something that has not yet been completely finished off is more realistic. In the meantime, in the Ufa airport, any planes land and take off - just not the Bashkir airline.
