What are the must-see attractions in Phuket? Tourist map of Thailand with islands in Russian Detailed map of Phuket in Russian.

If you want to go on an unforgettable trip to the islands and experience the heavenly pleasure of your vacation, a detailed map of Thailand in Russian will help you.

Any tourist map will help you find hotels, attractions, and generally not get lost in an unfamiliar country. The most convenient thing is that even the cities of Thailand and the streets are written in Russian, so you don’t have to learn Thai to figure out what’s what.

Geographic map of Thailand

Using the cards is quite easy. Here is a map of Thailand with islands in Russian. With this card, your tourism around the country will be wonderful and hassle-free. With this map you can find hotels, airports in Thailand, the most famous attractions, excursions, beaches and much more.

Thailand and islands on the world map, location

If we look at the entire world map, Thailand (Phrathet Thai) can be found in Southeast Asia in the southwest of the Indochina Peninsula. On the eastern side, the “country of the Thais” is washed by the South China Sea, or rather the Gulf of Thailand.

On the southern side is the border with Malaysia, in the northwest with Myanmar, in the northeast with Laos, and in the east with Cambodia. The state is divided into 5 regions, which in turn are divided into 77 changwat (provinces).

This is due to the fact that the entire territory of the peninsula has a large extent from north to south (it has a sort of elongated shape), as well as various forms of relief, different ethnic populations and even different climates.

Attractions

If you find yourself in the north of the “country of the Thais” in the city of Chiang Rai, be sure to visit the indescribably beautiful and most unusual temple of Wat Rong Khun. This White Temple fascinates with its unusual architecture, similar to dragon bones.

When visiting Phang Nga Bay, you can see the famous island of Koh Tapu with your own eyes. This interesting, vertical and small limestone island became popular thanks to the film about the adventures of James Bond.

Also, do not forget to visit the ancient cities of the Thais, one of them is the city of Ayutthaya, which houses many Buddhist temples and complexes. Ancient city of Sukhothai and Wat Mahathat temple.

In Pattaya, take a look at the wonderful and unique Temple of Truth. If you intend to relax in Bangkok, then you will have the opportunity to look at the 5-ton golden Buddha in the Wat Traimit temple. And also the reclining Buddha in Wat Pho and much more, not to mention the magical azure beaches on the coast of Koh Samui and Phuket.

Airports in the country

It is possible to get to the “country of the Thais” using two airports. The first international airport is called Suvarnabhumi, and the second is Don Mueang on the island of Phuket. Almost all tourists from all over the world fly to the capital, the main cultural center, through these airports.

Climate and weather

As mentioned above, due to the peculiarities of the geographical location of the entire Thai kingdom, the weather in Thailand is the most diverse. Moreover, if there is a rainy season in the country, because of which it is forbidden to swim on the island of Phuket, then in Pattaya the situation is completely in the opposite direction. If there is rain there, it is not long-lasting, with sunny and warm weather remaining.

Due to the geographical elongation of the “country of the Thais”, the climate in the north is tropical, with high rainfall, while in the center and south the climate is subequatorial. February and May in some central provinces are a period of extreme heat (April–May above 35 degrees Celsius).

Thailand hotels on the map

All hotels on the Thai peninsula are scattered throughout the area. You can stay in large hotels or rent small bungalows on the coast of the beach. The average price of drinking water is 10 baht, which at the 2017 exchange rate is approximately 16 rubles. Not counting hotel accommodation, you will need approximately 35 thousand rubles for additional vacation, depending on what kind of vacation you prefer.

Popular cities and resorts

As you know, the entire Kingdom is divided into 77 provinces, each of them has its own unique ethnic group, culture and beautiful tourist cities. A detailed map of the cities of Thailand contains the names of streets and roads in Russian, with it it will be easier for you to navigate the area. In the north and south of the country, Thais are strikingly different from each other. This is also due to the religion that the residents profess. It is interesting that in the south, especially the Malays profess Islam, not Buddhism.

Bangkok is the cultural center of the Thai country. This is not just a small provincial village, but a huge metropolis that houses modern skyscrapers, urban flavor and historical temples, as well as other attractions.

Koh Chang

Not far from the center, literally 300 km, is the wonderful island of Koh Chang. The beaches of this island are protected by a national park, so you won’t be able to actively relax here using scooters and boats. But you can spend a quiet, relaxing holiday with children on the cleanest beaches of the island.

Pattaya

Pattaya on the map of Thailand is located in the west of the central part of the “country of the Thais”, not far from Bangkok. Pattaya hotels attract with their comfort and excellent service. Hotels offer excursions in Thailand to local attractions and entertainment programs.

Phuket

Phuket joins the list of azure beaches and stunning islands. Phuket itself occupies a leading place in area among other islands (576 km2). The beaches themselves are protected by national authorities. Siri Nat Park because of the sea turtles that nest on the beaches.

The visiting card of the island is Patong Beach (banana forest), Karon, Kamala, Kata Noi, etc.
Not far from Phuket you can find the Krabi Islands on the map of Thailand; these islands are mostly uninhabited and have no names.

Samui

Koh Samui on the map of Thailand can be found in the narrowest part of the country, this small island (228.7 km2) in the province of Surat Thani. Now in 2017 this resort is the most popular among tourists.

I have prepared for you a special interactive map of Phuket in Russian, which shows beaches, restaurants, shops, bars, entertainment, parks, gardens - all the attractions of the island. You can study the map online or download it to your mobile phone or tablet to use on your trip. For convenience, click on the icon in the upper left corner, categories of attractions will open, if you wish, you can uncheck or check the box which points to display on the map.

Phuket attractions: beaches, entertainment, shops, restaurants and more

Sometimes people ask me which hotel to choose in Phuket that is closer to the attractions. This question is puzzling. Completely different attractions are scattered throughout the island. Some want to visit the temples, others want to watch evening shows, others want to look into the parks and gardens of the island, and at the same time swim every day in the good sea. In addition, if you are going for several, it will be difficult to come up with the most favorable place to stay. For a trip to the mainland to Khao Lak, or better yet, choose the northern beaches of Phuket. For boat trips, Coral is more convenient to live in the south of the island.

In my opinion, it is better to choose a beach not closer to attractions, but according to other priorities. Do you want a lot of inexpensive restaurants and discos near the hotel? Or do you prefer a deserted beach? Or maybe you are looking for a beach without waves during the rainy season? This will help you find the best beach in Phuket. If you are interested in the sights of Phuket, restaurants, children's places, parks and other interesting things, download. It works offline without an internet connection. The information in it is updated first.

The island is already a favorite vacation spot for many, and for those who are going there for the first time, a detailed map and reviews of travelers who have been there will help them find their way around the sights of Phuket, and you can book tickets for group excursions using the portals and.

Travelers come to the island of Phuket for its fabulous beaches, but a map of Phuket with attractions is no less worthy of attention than the white sand and.

Google Maps / google.ru

A detailed map of Phuket will help even an inexperienced tourist to navigate and see all the most interesting things without being tied to excursions in Phuket, at a convenient time and saving money.

What should you see?

The Phuket tourist map advises travelers to pay attention to museums:

  1. Tai Nua.
  2. Seashells.

In addition to museums, the attractions of the island of Phuket that are interesting to every traveler are:

  • Big Buddha;
  • Khao Lak National Park;
  • Cape Promthep (observation platform);
  • Similan;
  • Phuket Zoo.

It’s quite easy to find your way around Thailand in general and directly in Phuket, and tourists who come here for the first time will need a map of Phuket in Russian.

Main museums of the island

Sights are scattered throughout different places in Phuket; it is best to start exploring them with museums.

Tai Hua

The museum is located in a building built at the very beginning of the last century and designed in a colonial style. Its appearance intricately combines tangible elements of elegant French architecture with local practicality and functionality.

phuket.tourslife.ru

A building was being built for a Chinese primary school, but only the central wing remained from the original original building, but it has been preserved unchanged.

The museum doors are open daily from 9:00 to 17:00, entrance fee is 200 baht.

The central streets of the island's capital can be easily reached on foot from almost any hotel in Phuket Town that hosts tourists.

Talang is both the name of one of the districts and the museum; on a map that has not been translated into Russian, they can be confused.

phuket.tourslife.ru

Thalang National Museum, which is how the museum is indicated on the map of Phuket, tells about the history of Thailand since ancient times; separate exhibitions tell the story of Fr. Phuket. A very interesting room tells about the discovery of tin deposits here, which was the reason for the mass migration of Chinese workers, which completely changed the ethnic ratio of the population.

According to the latest census, 35% of the population of Phuket cities are Chinese, 20% are Thai, 40% are southern ethnic Thais and Malays, 5% are a complex ethnic group, direct descendants of pirates. This is actually a separate diaspora, with its own traditions, culture and history. The hall dedicated to piracy is also extremely interesting, especially for children who love films about pirates.

There are also exhibits on the street, a large exhibition tells about the 2004 tsunami, with original objects, cars and many other evidence of this tragedy. There is also an exhibition that imitates ancient Thai thatched villages.

The museum welcomes visitors every day, except Mondays and Sundays, from 08:30 to 16:00. Entrance costs 100 baht, there are discounts for children, you will have to pay 50 baht for them.

phuket.tourslife.ru

The museum is located on Si Sunthon Street. When walking around the Thalang district, you need to focus on the Monument to the Heroines (Monument to Chan and Muk). From there you need to walk east about 200 meters, it’s impossible to get lost, there are signs on the street.

Walking is the best way to get to know the museum and the area itself, which has temples, waterfalls and much more. Separate guide “Phuket Town. Talang" will be very useful for any traveler. Such brochures, without Russification, of course, are available in the lobby of any hotel on the island.

Shell Museum

An original and non-overwhelming museum that displays marine wonders, a variety of shells, pebbles and much more. The museum has a shop selling a variety of shell and pearl items, from simple decorative shells and jewelry to cutlery and jewelry boxes.

It is located in the Rawai area, next to the popular Palm Village Phuket hotel and Rawai Beach, beloved by many travelers.

The museum is located on Vicet Road and is open daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Ticket costs 200 baht for an adult and 100 baht for a child.

Camping and zoo

National parks and zoos occupy a special place among the attractions of Thailand, which is not surprising, given the incredible beauty and richness of the local nature.

Khao Lak National Park

The true kingdom of nature in all its splendor. The park consists of two parts - the mountainous Lam Pi and the beachside Hat Thai Muang. At its core, the park is a large campsite.

water_sss/flickr.com

It is located near the small town of Thai Muang. You can get here from Phuket Town either in a rented car along Highway 4, which will cost on average about 300 baht per day, or by bus from the terminal of the 1st local bus station, which stops directly next to the park. The fare will cost 100 baht, the bus journey takes from 1.5 to 2 hours.

Everything you need for outdoor tourism, that is, camping, can be rented directly in the park.

Here you can visit the sea turtle nursery, where not only turtles live, but also many other sea inhabitants. In addition to the nursery, there is an excellent restaurant in the park, which serves local, general national and European cuisine.

water_sss/flickr.com

The park has a lot of hiking trails through the jungle. It is worth paying attention to the trails to the Chong Fa waterfall, the largest and most beautiful. In addition to it, there are 3 more waterfalls on the territory, smaller ones.

A visit to the park will cost 100 baht, the bill at the restaurant depends on the choice of dishes, you can eat for 40-50 baht, or for 150-200.

The cost of renting a tent is from 120 baht; for a full sleeping set they will ask for 60 baht.

Phuket Zoo

The zoo on the island is small; it opened in 1997 and since then has been in demand not only among tourists, but also among local residents. Black swans, Bengal tigers, orangutans, ostriches, elephants and, of course, crocodiles are always a hit with visitors. In addition to animals and birds, there is a small aquarium on the territory.

Ahmed Rabea / flickr.com

The local zoo also delights with a variety of performances. In addition to the generally ubiquitous crocodile show in Thailand, there is also a show of elephants, monkeys and ostriches.

The zoo is located in the north of the island, near Chalong Bay. Open daily from 8:30 to 18:00. Show performances take place several times throughout the day at intervals of three hours.

Kévin Veau / flickr.com

Ticket price is 500 baht, for children under 12 years old – 300 baht, children under 5 years old are free.

Not far from the zoo is the largest cosmetics store on the island and a water park.

Temples

A map of Phuket attractions, like any other tourist place, cannot do without cultural and historical monuments associated with religion.

The temple complex is very large, entry to the territory is unlimited. You can wander freely, admire the pagodas and take pictures with the Buddhas. “Golden” Buddha statues are everywhere and in a wide variety of poses. In addition, the temple has an excellent observation deck with free access.

Holiday Point / flickr.com

You can enter the territory daily, from 8:00 to 18:00.

The complex is located between the capital of the island and Karon Beach. From all cities of Phuket and from the Karona beach complex, you can take direct bus services directly to the entrance to the temple complex. The fare is from 35 to 50 baht. From distant beach complexes it is easier to get to Phuket Town, and from the capital you can take a direct bus departing from the bus station on Ranong Street every half hour.

A very large temple complex, on the territory of which there are two museums - Buddhism and local tin mines, the most unique of all Buddha statues - Luang Poh Phra Thong, which is a huge golden bust, a working monastery, a crematorium and a cafe. There are signs throughout the area, and in the most unexpected places you can stumble upon ancient cannons and funny figurines.

travel-phuket.ru

Access to the complex has no restrictions, you don’t need to pay any money for anything here. You can visit this place any day during daylight hours, from sunrise to its last ray.

Many mystical tales, beautiful and heroic legends and simple children's folk tales are associated with the temple.

The temple is located in the north, not far from the Thalang district, you can only come here by taxi or rented car, there is no transport near the complex.

Big Buddha

The snow-white Buddha, 45 meters high, is located on Mount Nakaked in the Chalong region and is visible from anywhere on the island. The top of the mountain is considered a place of power, and legends say that Buddha himself once meditated on it.

Eirien / flickr.com

You can take a tuk-tuk from anywhere in the Chalong area or from Karon Beach; the fare will cost from 15 to 40 baht. In addition to the Buddha, the mountain is an excellent viewing platform. Access to it is open from 8:00 to 20:00, admission is free, but for signs with wishes they will ask from 300 to 1000 baht.

What else is there to see?

In addition to excursions in Phuket, there are places near the island that simply need to be visited. One of these places is Similan, that is, the Similan Islands.

These are 10 small, truly paradise islands that make up the National Park. Not all of them are allowed access. Here you can find the best snorkeling and diving in the world, the purest water and the opportunity to spend the night in a tent under palm trees or in a boat under the moon.

Fred von Lohmann / flickr.com

The islands are open from October to May, a one-day excursion costs from 1,900 baht. For each additional day of stay you need to pay an additional 500 baht. Before going on an excursion, you need to find out the most detailed route, because the opportunity to have lunch and wash is only on two of the islands, which some unscrupulous organizers of “discounted” tours delicately keep silent about.

You can get to this fabulous place on your own from any pier in Phuket by renting a boat. The cost may vary, depending on how successfully the traveler knows how to bargain.

Where is the best place to stay?

Phuket is a small island, and since people come to Thailand for its beaches, sun and entertainment, the best place to choose a hotel is Patong. The website will always help you book a room in advance.

Patong is famous not only throughout Thailand, but throughout the world, both for its beaches and nightlife. It is located on Bangla Road and Paradise Complex.

David Johnson / flickr.com

In Patong, the beach line is divided into two main large beaches with developed infrastructure - Patong and Freedom. The first one is very crowded, it is always very noisy, there are a lot of children. Here you can get a massage on a bamboo mat and, in principle, get anything you want, from food to alcoholic cocktails, without leaving your lounger. The second one is quieter, secluded and cozy, without intrusive services, probably due to the distance from large hotels.

From Patong you can easily get to anywhere on the island by bus, rented car or tuk-tuk. There are also a lot of tour operators here, most excursions are organized directly next to the beaches, but there are also organized trips around the island from hotels, which need to be booked in advance.

No matter where the traveler stays on the island, it will not be difficult to explore the sights of Phuket on your own.

The beaches of Phuket Island are famous for their impeccable cleanliness and calm water, that is, the absence of waves. They are considered to be the best in everything. To visit the seashores, the exact time has been determined when the weather will be optimal for tourists - from the end of November to the end of March. It is during this period that the temperature is highest and there is practically no rain.

Phuket beaches on the map. All names are exclusively in Russian

Important facts that will undoubtedly be useful when choosing a vacation spot:

  1. Free access. There is not a single private beach on the island, so you can choose any one, even the one to which the path of the nearest hotel stretches.
  2. All the best beaches are on the west side of Phuket, there is all the infrastructure necessary for a successful holiday.
  3. Cost of holiday. It depends only on the possibilities of the tourist. There are hotels that cost from 300 baht per day, and there are also those for which you will have to pay several thousand (the cost of one baht is equal to one ruble).

The best beaches in Phuket

Below you will find information about each beach, with all the details a tourist needs to know. Each place can be found on a map of Phuket with beaches.

Characteristics of Phuket beaches

Kata Beach

This place is very popular among Russian tourists. Due to this, a large number of people come during the season, and sometimes it is difficult to simply find a place to stay. Perhaps in the central part of the beach you can find a small corner of privacy. On the right side of the beach there is a river that is not the most pleasant and has a specific smell, so it is better to look for a hotel in the opposite part. On the left side, the water is cleaner, and the relaxation atmosphere itself is much higher.

Karon

It is no less popular among Russian tourists, since it most often falls on people’s travel packages. The scale is very impressive, the shore is amazing in its size, it is huge.

It is better to come there in winter, as it is stormy at other times of the year. The best place for lovers of a quiet life.

Romantics will appreciate the magnificent views from the shore.

Patong

The most popular beach on Phuket island. You can meet not only Russian-speaking tourists, but also representatives of other nationalities. Tourists from all over the world flock to it and therefore there are more than enough people. During the winter months the water is especially clean; it is recommended to swim on the right side of the beach. Life here proceeds differently than in other parts of the island - there is always fun, noisy companies, an invigorating atmosphere, where life is in full swing. There are many inexpensive hotels nearby, the price of which is suitable for tourists on a limited budget.

Kata Noi

Located near Kata Beach. You can get to it over the hill on foot. Stunning views that will mesmerize your mind are guaranteed. Hotels in the area are quite expensive and are not suitable for all tourists. The waves are often very large and you can rent a surfboard, which is what many who come to this beach do. You can buy a special snorkeling mask and admire the small fish that overflow the waters of Kata Noi.

Kamala

A place ideal for a relaxing holiday with children. It’s quite difficult to find Russian tourists; there are practically none. During the season there are no waves at all, but when it rains it is stormy. If you need privacy, then you need to go to the central part of the coast; there are practically no people there at all. The magical sunsets of Phuket are best seen in the center. There are very few hotels in that area.

Laem Sing

A small beach located between two others. Entrance costs around 20 baht, so there aren’t that many people there - not everyone wants to pay for the opportunity to lie in the sun. The water there is the purest, the landscape is truly fantastic. But there will be problems with housing. There are no hotels nearby, only beach holidays and nothing more.

Surin

One of the best holiday destinations in all of Phuket. The sea in this place is deep, and it becomes so almost immediately. The water is clean. Large and strong waves can often be seen. Hotels are more expensive than near other beaches. The price is high due to the certain “eliteness” of the beach; various celebrities like to relax there and the service is much better. Another difference is the pine trees surrounding the beach, which are an excellent substitute for palm trees.

Bang Tao

On the map you can see that it is located in the southern part of the island. Another quiet and peaceful corner, even at the height of the season you can find a place for complete privacy, due to the fact that it is very long. The sea is calm all year round, the chance of seeing big waves is almost zero. The beach is best suited for families with small children. Nearby you can find decent hotels with good service, various services, spas and expensive shops.

Nai Harn

The best beach in the southern part of Phuket. There are no waves during the season, but in the off-season their size increases. The sea in this area is clean. There are no hotels nearby, so it is not suitable for every tourist. But not far away there is a famous French restaurant, run by one of the best chefs in Australia.

Yanuy

A very tiny beach with clear water, ideal for snorkeling. There is only one hotel nearby (it must be said that it is very good), but others can be found a little further away. The place is very sunny, you need to try very hard to find a secluded corner hidden from the scorching sun. It is worth noting the presence of stones at the bottom of the sea. Yanui is best suited in winter; there is nothing to do there at other times of the year. On the map you can see that it is located in the southern part of the island.

Banana

On the map you can find it at the top, in the northern part of the island. This place is the standard of a tropical paradise - rocky terrain dividing the beach into two parts, wild coconut thickets, snow-white sand reminiscent of a white veil. The clearest water allows you to see the attractive seabed. Particular attention in this matter should be paid to the reefs, which in that area have incredibly charming views. The most interesting beach for tourists is Banana Beach. Phuket is proud of such a place.
