The toilet was only at the end of the car, there was only a storeroom in front. They drowned well, but not hot. New seats - Lotus lived up to its "trademark", but in the coupe I liked it less.
Despite the fact that it is a compartment - for example, a huge toilet at the end of a carriage instead of an entire compartment, as well as a compartment for disabled people, the carriage itself is less new. This could be seen from the state of the toilet, by the strokes of a pen from someone's children, for whom an easel was not bought, and also by the smell. We were fed in a compartment to choose from, either chicken with rice, or meat with buckwheat. At first they just brought a box with water and utensils, then hot - not enough, but tasty, I chose chicken with rice. Previously, they fed better on the Lotus - they even gave yogurt and 2 buns for breakfast.
The train is good, but still long - for example, in Saratov it takes 48 minutes, and in Michurinsk - 32. In Michurinsk, the locomotive is changed - an electric locomotive from Moscow can no longer be powered by electricity across Russia, it is replaced by an ordinary diesel locomotive. And the train starts moving in the opposite direction to the U-turn. But why in Saratov to stand for almost an hour, I do not know, only 2 cars were attached, nothing special happens there, Saratov is not Moscow, people do not stand in traffic jams for 2 hours and come already at the beginning of boarding.
It is always interesting in Tambov - the parking lot is short, but there are scenes - because of the Zeleny settlement with the prison, you can often see both prisoners and guards who leave at the Tambov station. We are building, not looking anywhere. The picture is terrible, but this is life.
The beds are beautiful both in the compartment and in the reserved seat, white, starched linen. At the same time, in the reserved seat there was just a second sheet and checkered woolen blankets, and in the compartment there were gray quilts and a duvet cover. You don’t need to hand over anything, there is no such races with the counting of towels. I usually take the first compartment and 1 seat downstairs near the conductor - closer to the conductor - fewer scandals, requests to yield because they have children, farther from the vestibule and distant toilet.
The glasses are now in the cup holder of the Russian Railways, but thin, tea and coffee from the conductor for 30 rubles, although, for example, I have met 50 rubles in others.
Now they wear nothing, except for a basket from the dining car, and before they wore both scarves and socks - now they drive.
Very prompt communication "with the ground" - we have only passengers drinking beer and always occupying the toilet, at the Saratov station 3 employees approached the carriage directly with questions whether everything is in order in the carriage and whether we need a doctor. The police walk quietly on the cars at night and with a flashlight.
Now the train has changed the schedule, it comes to Moscow from Astrakhan at 14:37, many felt uncomfortable, the middle of the day, and not morning, and not at night to the hotel, but to Moscow the train is simply packed - everyone goes to work, and some then simply through Moscow to watch.
So far, there is no replacement for this particular train, since there is not an airport everywhere, so with pricing policy you have to agree - 3300 for a reserved seat for more than 900 kilometers is not expensive.
