We were fed in a compartment to choose from, either chicken with rice, or meat with buckwheat. At first they brought just a box with water and cutlery, then hot - a little, but tasty, I chose chicken with rice. Previously, they fed better on Lotus - they even gave yogurt and 2 buns for breakfast.
The train is good, but still long - for example, in Saratov it costs 48 minutes, and in Michurinsk - 32. In Michurinsk, the train is changing the locomotive - the electric locomotive from Moscow can no longer be powered by electricity in Russia, it is replaced by an ordinary diesel locomotive. And the train starts moving in the opposite direction. But why in Saratov to stand for almost an hour, I don’t know, only 2 cars were attached, nothing special happens there, Saratov is not Moscow, people don’t stand in traffic jams for 2 hours and come to the beginning of boarding.
It is always interesting in Tambov - the parking lot is short, but there are scenes - because of the village of Zeleny with a prison, you can often see both prisoners and escorts who get off at the Tambov station. We build, not looking anywhere. The picture is terrible, but this is life.
The beds are excellent both in the compartment and in the reserved seat, white, starched linen. At the same time, in the reserved seat there was just a second sheet and checkered woolen blankets, and in the compartment - quilted gray blankets and a duvet cover. You don’t have to hand over anything, there are no these races with counting towels. I usually take the first compartment and 1 seat downstairs near the conductor - closer to the conductor - fewer scandals, requests to give in, because they have children, away from the vestibule and a distant toilet.
The glasses are now in the Russian Railways cup holder, but thin, tea and coffee at the conductor for 30 rubles, although, for example, in others I met 50.
Now they don’t wear anything, except for a basket from the dining car, but before they wore scarves and socks - now they drive.
Very efficient communication "with the ground" - we had only passengers drinking beer and always occupying the toilet, at the Saratov station 3 employees approached the car straight to the car asking if everything was in order in our car and if we needed a doctor. The police walk around the carriages at night quietly and with a flashlight.
Now the schedule has been changed for the train, it arrives in Moscow from Astrakhan at 14:37, it became uncomfortable for many, the middle of the day, and not in the morning, and not at night to the hotel, but to Moscow the train is just packed - everyone goes to work, and someone then just through Moscow on a watch.
So far, there is no replacement for this particular train, since not everywhere there is an airport, so with pricing policy I have to agree - 3300 for a reserved seat for more than 900 kilometers - it's not expensive.
