Brass they also scold for her low strength, but in my experience with Turkish fasteners, it bursts from efforts to twist, and not on the gap. I suppose that in dry wood (and I myself in the thrum dust and spiders) nothing with a stainless steel will happen.

Epoxy resin. At this point, I listen more than any complaints, because the amount in this line is so funny, and the amount is frightening that I don't even want to discard any other time. I used the resin not only for the purpose of construction, but also paid it, so to speak, "on the barter". I was also constantly engaged in all sorts of experiments in order to understand the essence of the behavior of the subject and the possible spheres of its application. As a result, an approximate score indicates 150-200 kg of resin. Naturally, its main part went to pasting the case, the details of which I previously described and whether it was all necessary - the question is still controversial.

I immediately note the option of acquiring a resin in the Khozmagach, although not so long ago I learned about a person who used to build a whitbot. As a basis, I will take the price in which the resin is offered by firms producing epoxy paints and varnishes. That is, they interfere with enamels, varnishes, soils and putty, but they will be sold starting materials. Price kilogram of resin ED-22 - about $ 3. Multiplier to previously driven numbers, we have the amount of about $ 500. I agree, it is a lot, but there are other ways.

When I started the construction, I also searched for a resin everywhere and the most attractive source I discovered in yacht clubs. Paints and varnishes. Here I dumped into a bunch of all chemistry: paints, putty, soils, solvents, sealants and even a couple of Pinotex buckets. I repeat once again on the topic of the metals themselves. All this is now sold, but usually the minimum sold quantity has unacceptable dimensions (and there was a price). I advise you to get a small magnet and whenever the eye rushes on a suspicious shine or the lack of rust (where it is logical), prove it - and not stainlessively. Once I spoke with one of these craftsmen, so here he was in order to build a boat from beginning to end, only about two weeks were required. From these conditions flowed: I can build a full-fledged boat only if it is collapsible, moreover, it would noticeably simplify its transportation in the future.

So there was an idea to build a collapsible boat, three sections of which would fit alone to another. Among the essential features of the design are the absence of a set. Perhaps only the end walls of sections playing the role of the splint assets can be attributed to the elements of the set (2 pcs. Forming the housing and its stiffness was ensured by the death of the skin details.

My "project", the prototypes who served, partly, folk boats, partly tourist kayaks, was first drawn on ordinary notebooks. The drawings of these in three projections, even without sizes and specific details, I made a huge amount. Further was born, finally, the final appearance imprinted in a sketch on millimeter paper. I think that such a sketch is the first minimum necessary step towards its real incarnation. You can do without graphic computer programs and without a drawing on Watman, but without a sketch, perhaps it is impossible. Then I glued several test models from paper and cardboard and, finally, a cardboard model on a scale of 1:10, on which all parts of the case finally slept. The greatest difficulties caused a combination with each other details of different sections of the boat. If the boat was unsolved, everything would be much easier.

Creating a large-scale cardboard model at which it would be possible to accurately take all sizes to avoid in the future serious errors, see all the shortcomings and shortcomings, understand the sequence of the upcoming assembly - this is the second necessary step, if, of course, we are not talking about a typical project, where All items and dimensions are well worked out. When the model was brought to the mind, I took out the final sizes from it and moved them to the Faneru (the construction of the case, of course, plywood is composite). Next, I just had to cut all the details and connect them together.

Although the absence of a set had to compensate for the puffwind thickness (6 mm), this as a result almost did not add weight, but made the body much more shock-resistant. Nevertheless, the stiffness of the sheet material was insufficient in order to obtain flawless hull lines. Now, in the appearance of the boat, this is unnoticed, and at its nautical and other qualities it did not affect anyone, but the assembly did not go perfectly - Plywood is able to be curved and bent into the most unexpected time and in unexpected places and even give "bubbles" on relatively small surfaces.

The details of the centers of the central section, I sewed by the caproic thread and then right on top I was sinked with fiberglass strips on epoxy. The thread, of course, added the strength to the connection, but the air bubbles were struggling under the tissue, so I hardly won something. If smaller "to invent a bike" than I sinned out of curiosity, it will take much less time.

According to the first impressions, the boat is well managed, resistant to the course. But the hurdity for which I am so extremely, although it was quite consciously sacrificed the width of the boat, in question. But finally understand what happened and how much it matches my requirements, I still have to. If suddenly the result turns out to be unsatisfactory, which, we build another boat, no good for this. In the cabin enough space for five people, sleeping cozy. A double-circuit gas stove is installed in the galley. All passengers are sitting freely at the hanging table. I start navigation at the end of April, and ending in late October-early November. Virtually five months I spend in the yacht. Parking near the house is 10 minutes walk, so even sleep often in the air. The battery is recharged from the motor, the radio is constantly working, periodically - TV. I love to constantly change the parking lot. And I go upstream of Don to Konstantinovsk and even to Farm Vedernikov, where silence and beauty.

Thanks to the yacht, I rest myself, periodically - family and friends. Looking for boats of factory manufacture, sometimes I have envy. However, my yacht is very good for our rivers: I can go to the shore and go out, almost no watery of my legs, and the killery yacht cannot afford it. I do not participate in competitions. I know that I will not conquer any prize. But in Rostov - on - Don, no one else rests me on the water, so the mood is always good.

Where did you get interested in shipping? When did the idea arose to build your own yacht?

I dreamed about yacht since childhood, and now I have the opportunity to implement this dream. On the Internet there are quite a lot of the same lovers of yachtport and water recreation, as I. Their successful experience of building a feat will try their strength.

For myself, I decided that the boat must be transportable, with maximum habitability. At the same time it was necessary to comply with the norms prescribed in our law. The legislation provides that the goods during transportation should be no more than two and a half meters wide and eight meters long. When transporting a boat, it is necessary to observe these parameters, so that they are determining when choosing a project. By the way, such a thing as "yacht", in our legislation does not exist. There is the concept of "boat" or "small-sized ship".

- Where are you going to walk on your yacht?

In its parameters and the calculation of strength, this boat is intended for inland reservoirs and coastal areas of the seas. It can be transported to any sea: on black, Baltic - where the soul wishes. In the near future we are going to run through inland water bodies to the Kiev reservoir.

- Where can I store a boat and how best to transport it?

The length of my boat is eight meters, and it does not fit into any garage. Therefore, before building a ship, I designed a kind of trailer, which, with minor modifications, turns into a stapel - a rigid construction on which the boat itself is assembled. That is, the trailer is the place of assembly of the boat, the means for its transportation, and with the award, it turns into a winter ellinge for the storage of the vessel. In the summer, the vessel stands on the water, and in the winter under the awning it can be stored in Yachtclub.

I built this trailer a little more than a year and spent about two thousand dollars on it. If you buy a finished trailer, it will take about five and a half thousand euros. That is, manufacturers assume that if a person buys a yacht, then the trailer will be accurately found.

- Were there difficulty registration of this trailer?

Some difficulties with registration, indeed, were, since similar trailers in our country are not produced. Crash test it is impossible to check it, and the running tests do not give enough full information. In this sense, large produce is easier: part of the batch of trailers they can pay for testing. In addition, the trailer weighs more than 750 kg, so in order to ride it, I had to receive the driver's license of the category "E".

- How does the construction of the yacht begin?

First, you should think three times, whether it is to get involved in it. Cheaper to buy an old boat, requiring repair, and repair it. But it is necessary to take into account the fact that the yachts sold abroad are marine, with a bold one and a half or more than a meter kille. For our rivers and lakes, it is impossible to drive on such a yacht.

It is necessary to decide on the appointment of the vessel, because the racing boat, the cruiser or the weekend boat have its own characteristics. For each task there are our projects, their designs and technologies, so something is not necessary to design. Moreover, I do not recommend doing my projects, because, as a rule, there are much more shortcomings in them than in the already ready.

We have a state inspection on small courts, which sufficiently refers to such enthusiasts. There you can always consult, pass additional courses for sailing vessels and even get the right to driving a ship of various categories.

- Do I need to register a yacht?

Yacht is registered in the state inspection on small courts and receives on-board number. Additional tests are held for homemade to make sure of its complete safety.

- Did someone taught you to build a ship or did you comprehend everything yourself?

I studied, for the most part, on my mistakes. A senior person will always find the necessary information. I reread the mountain of the literature, visited many sites of Samostroikors on the Internet. In addition, there are specialized yacht forums where people who have passed through the construction of the ship are shared by their experience. But mistakes are still inevitable.

- How many Belarusians build yachts?

One boat is built in Brest, one small four-meter boat descended a month ago in Minsk, two six-meter boats are built. In addition, in Minsk for ten years a vessel is built, which corresponds to the English standards of Lloyd. So people who are engaged in yacht construction, a lot of people in Belarus.

- How old are you building your ship?

In the construction of the yacht, I was interrupted for a year and a half, when I built a trailer. Approximately a few months I went to the transverse set, on the spangles, in November last year I put it on the staple and now finishing the construction. On average, I left about one and a half years on the construction of a boat and almost the same on the trailer.

- Is it worth getting involved in the construction of a yacht or better to get money and buy a ready-made ship?

This is a difficult question. Two years ago, I would say that, of course, it is worth building yourself and give it a few years of life. But if you want to walk not by rivers, but to go to a deeper and extensive water area, you can buy an inexpensive imported cylinder boat. The main question is not in money - with a self-building, they are embedded slowly.

- What materials are needed for the boat? Where can they take them?

Each project is prescribed the necessary materials. If the project is fast enough and technological for construction, then a moisture resistant plywood is used, which is trimmed with a board and is covered with fiberglass. Questions may arise with the payment of materials, as it is often done by bank transfer and it is necessary to wait until the company will invoice.

We do to the equipment yourself, something buy in Ukraine or we ordain on the Internet.

Alone to make the boat is difficult. As a rule, people who build yachts help each other - it is faster, technological and more fun.

- There is a stereotype that the yachts can only be in very rich people. Is it really?

And sailing, and the motor yacht can be built on its own. The cost of the boat is roughly calculated: the meter of length costs a thousand dollars. By and large, build a yacht is not as expensive as it seems. True, the materials are becoming more faster than the construction is going on, but, nevertheless, it is quite real to make a boat.

- At what stage is the construction of your yacht now? When do you shut it on the water?

Now we end the grinding and painting of the top, we install hatches, portholes and bangs and in about a week we will try to lower it on the Minsk Sea for primary running tests, and by October 10 we will go to Ukraine on the regatta as invited guests. If everything goes well, next year we will participate in amateur regatta.
