Pets are transported in a special container. Its size should not exceed 125 cm in three dimensions (length, height, width). You can use a carrier instead of a container. Its size should not be more than 135 cm in three dimensions. The maximum weight of a container or carry bag is 8 kg.
A prerequisite for transporting pets is the presence of certain documents. These include the animal's veterinary passport. It is marked with the inspection. It is valid for 5 days. This mark is needed for international flights.
In addition to the animal's passport, certificates are required. Form No. 1 certificate is issued after examining a pet that will fly on a domestic flight.

Note. Before boarding the plane, each animal undergoes veterinary control directly at the airport.
You have to pay for the transportation of the animal. On domestic flights, the cost of transportation reaches 4000 rubles. International - about 75 euros.
Transportation of musical instruments
Transportation of musical instruments is permitted both in the cabin and in the luggage compartment of the airliner. It is necessary to warn the airline employees about this in advance. In the cabin of the aircraft, instruments are transported as carry-on baggage (in accordance with the established tariff plans).
Note. In the aircraft cabin, the musical instrument is placed on the passenger seat.
Package dimensions should not exceed 135 × 50 × 30 cm (except for guitars). Its weight is up to 80 kg. If the instruments exceed the established standards, they must be transported in the hold as checked baggage or excess cargo.
What can be transported in the cabin of the aircraft:
- harp;
- guitar;
- synthesizer;
- cello;
- lute.
These are all fragile luggage, which is better to take with you on board.
Advice. You should not transport expensive musical instruments in the cargo hold. The airline bears limited liability for damage to them.
It is worth considering that certain documents may be required for international flights to a musical instrument. Bows are considered unique instruments (except for factory production). They are equated with cultural values. When transporting factory tools, a passport or check is provided. In some cases, an expert opinion may come in handy. After it, a permit is issued to export the instrument from the country. If the instrument is more than 100 years old, it is prohibited to transport it outside the Russian Federation.
Transportation of sports equipment
The airline does not prohibit the transport of various sports equipment. So, ski equipment can be spent free of charge. This is provided that the dimensions and weight correspond to the established norms of free baggage transportation. If the dimensions exceed the standards, the ski equipment is carried as excess baggage.
Note. When the size of the inventory reaches 203 cm in three parameters, its transportation must be coordinated with the airline in advance.
It is also allowed to transport a bike for free if its dimensions meet the established standards. If they are exceeded, you will have to pay extra for an additional seat. If the dimensions of the bike are more than 203 cm in three dimensions, and it weighs more than 50 kg, its transportation must be agreed with the company's employees at least 36 hours before the planned departure.
It is allowed to transport surfing and diving equipment. Its weight should not exceed 23 kg. In case of exceeding the established norms, you must pay for the transportation of excess baggage in accordance with the tariff plans of the company.
It is also allowed to carry the following:
- hockey sticks;
- fishing rods (fishing equipment);
- golf bags.
You will not have to pay for their transportation if their weight and dimensions are included in the free baggage allowance.
What to do if baggage is lost or damaged
In case of loss of baggage, the passenger must follow a simple sequence of actions:
- seek help from the Aeroflot personnel desk;
- write a statement about the loss of cargo;
- provide all the necessary documents: receipt, boarding pass, ticket, passport.
The airline opens a search file. It is assigned a specific number. The passenger can use it to track the progress of the search for lost baggage. As a rule, an investigation is carried out within 21 days. If the cargo is not found, the airline must compensate material damage.
Important! In order to be able to claim compensation for material damage, when filling out a voucher for baggage, you must indicate its approximate cost.
In the event that the cargo was damaged, the airline can also reimburse its repair. To do this, you need to provide certain documents and the estimated value of such a cargo. It must be declared during baggage check-in. It should be noted that the airline bears limited liability when transporting any cargo. She pays compensation at the rate of 600 rubles. for 1 kg. Therefore, it is better to take fragile and expensive luggage into the cabin.
