Vorontsovskie bathing beach, (Alupka, Russia) - location, description, opening hours, entertainment and infrastructure. Helpful Hints And practical information from "The Subtleties of Tourism".

  • Tours for May Worldwide
  • Hot tours Worldwide

One of the most popular beaches of Alupka is the Central City Beach, well known to tourists and local residents also called "Vorontsov Baths". This name was given to the beach by the name of the picturesque park, which stretches a little higher - Vorontsovsky, through which you can go straight to the beach. The beach infrastructure is best developed here, necessary for beach holiday literally at your fingertips.

The beach strip of the Vorontsov Baths, where you can sit, is rather narrow, but, by the way, this is typical for all the beaches of Alupka. Above the beach area there is a promenade, you can get a sun lounger here - in specially designated places. There are also many shops and souvenir shops, beach bars and cafes, restaurants where you can have a snack and refresh yourself with soft drinks or ice cream on the promenade.

The beach strip of the Vorontsov Baths, where you can sit, is rather narrow, but, by the way, this is typical for all the beaches of Alupka.

The length of the entire beach "Vorontsovskie baths" is divided into two equal parts. The breakwater separates the halves, and the beach is limited by neighboring breakwaters, beyond which the wild territory begins. If you are looking for privacy, you can take a walk further away, because Alupka Central Beach will be quite noisy and crowded during the high season. But outside the "Vorontsov baths" there are no amenities.

The beach "Vorontsovskie Baths" is very picturesque precisely because Vorontsovsky Park is located directly above it. It is worth taking a walk through the majestic park, and from there go down to the beach. The park was created in the 19th century, its area is about 40 hectares. He strikes like natural beauties- flowers, trees, flowerbeds and lawns, as well as man-made - fountains and sculptures.

The beach "Vorontsov baths" is pebbly, like all the beaches of Alupka. However, closer to the water there are areas with an admixture of sand. For convenience, it is better to rent sun loungers, because it will not be very pleasant to lie on pebbles on a thin towel. Although many do just that, considering sun-warmed pebbles as an excellent natural massager.

The beach near Vorontsovsky Park will be a great place to relax with children. The descent into the water is gentle here, strong waves in beach season practically does not happen. Due to the rocky shore and pebbles, the lack of an abundance of sand, the water in the sea is clean and transparent. And the cleanliness of the beach itself is carefully monitored.

Practical Information

It is not difficult to get to the beach "Vorontsovskie Baths" - after all, this is the official city beach of Alupka. It is located in the eastern part of the resort, it is convenient to get here from the street. Kalinin, Pozharki or the central part of the city through the Vorontsov park.

Entrance to the beach is free.

Since the beach has recently been reconstructed, it has all the necessary amenities. There are several showers, taps where you can wash your feet from sand, changing cabins and drinking fountains. Alupka beaches in Crimea, reviews and photos- all about the resort on the South Coast. Cosy children's beach in Alupka with its picturesque nature, or a frog beach with a huge stone in the water, or an azure beach, Black Hillock or a wild beach? How to choose a beach in Alupka in Crimea, how they differ, we will now understand and compare photos of beaches in Alupka.

All beaches on the South Coast are pebbly, but differ from each other. The smallest pebble from Miskhor to Foros. Large and gray pebbles from Yalta to Alushta. On the eastern coast of Crimea, the pebbles are also small, but with an admixture of clay.

The beaches of Alupka warm up quickly, the swimming season lasts from June to September. The water in the sea is cleaner here, compared to Yalta and Alushta. If you lay out a series of Alupka beaches, starting from the border with Simeiz to the border with Koreiz, then they should be located in the following order:

  • Frog beach in Alupka;
  • beach behind the Frog in Alupka;
  • wild beach (Dusya) in Alupka;
  • Black Bugry beach in Alupka;
  • Cote d'Azur beach in Alupka;
  • beach on the Cote d'Azur;
  • Children's beach in Alupka;
  • wild beach behind Children's Beach;
  • city beach in Alupka.

However, in this article they are ranked by popularity. The advantage of staying in Alupka is the proximity of Yalta and a 10-minute walk to the Vorontsov Palace with its beautiful park - this is just a visiting card of the Crimea. As well as a conditionally central location in relation to other places in the Crimea that you can visit. The disadvantage of rest in Alupka can be called a rather high location above the sea. Walking with a baby stroller is not very convenient. However, for some this may be a plus. Where else can you train like this, going down and climbing steep ladders and streets. Active physical activity is provided to you.

Offline map of Travelinka is useful in Crimea. It does not consume traffic, works completely without the Internet, shows sights, hotels, lays routes.

Alupka, photos of beaches: for children

Beach "Children's" - perhaps the most picturesque of all the beaches of Alupka. Reviews about him are the best. The children's beach in Alupka is located right under the Vorontsov Palace, next to the Tea House and is protected from wind and waves on both sides. Once the Vorontsov baths were located here. Huge boulders enclose this shallow lagoon, it is almost always calm and the water is slightly warmer than on other beaches. Immediately behind the boulders, the sea is deep, here many people jump from stones into the water. - a favorite vacation spot with children - shallow water and warm, clear, calm water. In two lagoons closed from the waves by rocks, all kinds of marine life are teeming - fish, crabs, large and small. And if you swim out of the lagoon into the sea, a stunning view of Ai-Petri opens up! And right above the beach, a shady fairy-tale park begins with icy waterfalls, stone chaos and exquisite views of the Ai-Todor lighthouse and the sea.

Recently, the children's beach in Alupka was also landscaped - they made fences and ladders into the water. Of the minuses - in 2020 in Alupka children's beach covered with gravel, which has not yet had time to break in. There is a changing room, a toilet, a cafe, sun loungers and a playground. A lifeguard is on duty at the children's beach in Alupka.

Alupka children's beach photo.

Behind the children's beach in Alupka, a long stretch of wild coast begins. This place, despite the lack of pebbles, attracts vacationers, especially those who like less crowded places for swimming. It is quiet here, the trees of the Vorontsovsky Park descend almost to the sea, it is very cozy and secluded. But the beach is stone. There is only one convenient pebble entry, and that is conditional. The descent here is either from the Aivazovsky stone, or there are several more paths from the lower alley of the park. The views are simply gorgeous - stones, greenery against the backdrop of picturesque mountains.

Frog beach in Alupka

The Frog Beach is located under the "New District" of Alupka, not far from the "Spanish Village" complex. The beach is surrounded by boulders on both sides. But to go down and sit comfortably. Frog beach in Alupka small - three cards, with medium-sized pebbles. The entrance to the sea is gentle, the coating is small pebbles. The name comes from a large stone lying in the sea - from the shore it really looks like a fat frog. The guys from it jump into the sea. Who is bolder, climbs to the highest point.

Of the minuses - Frog beach in Alupka V this moment not equipped (no toilets, changing rooms, sheds), as well as its crowded season, incl. very much loved by the locals. On the plus side, water Frog beach in Alupka very clean and transparent. The place is picturesque, there are practically no waves. There is a car access (not quite to the Frog beach itself in Alupka, there is an exit from the city to the embankment, and you will have to walk along it for about 10 minutes). In the evening, crabs crawl out onto the rocks.

Ellingi beach in Alupka

Behind the Frog beach in Alupka there is a small section of the coast called "Ellings". There is no beach here as such, the coast is filled with concrete, although some slipways have made themselves quite comfortable slopes and baths. Of the benefits - there is a car entrance. Cons - concrete instead of a beach and crowded. Many boathouses have grown into multi-storey buildings, as is often the case here.

The wild beach of Alupka, or Dusya beach, or Kuchmovsky beach begins immediately behind the beach of the Yuzhnoberezhny sanatorium. This part of the coast is mostly rocky, but there is a section with pebbles, however, large ones. You can almost drive up to the beach by car (descent from Zeleny Mys), then a staircase leads to the wild beach in Alupka. Of the pluses - not too crowded, especially if you walk away from the stairs, clean water, interesting snorkeling, because. there are pitfalls. Fish swim and crabs live here. Cons of the wild beach in Alupka - not equipped, not pebbly.

Wild beach Alupka photo.

Azure beach, Alupka

Azure beach in Alupka, orCote d'Azur beach a place where the sea has an unusual emerald color! The water is clear, you can see the bottom. The beach is divided into three parts by breakwaters. Near the shore, in some places, there are picturesque pebbles, with a whole set of living creatures on them. In the last couple of years, pebbles have not been brought here, so the beaches have become narrow. Azure beach in Alupka not very crowded despite hotel complexes located on this coast. On the embankment itself - all the relevant infrastructure - cafes, souvenirs, etc. There are changing rooms. You can drive up to the beach, right on the promenade.

Azure beach in Alupka photo.

Behind the Cote d'Azur beach in Alupka is a stretch of coast littered with concrete breakwaters. Behind them is one beach map belonging to the Mountain Sun sanatorium. Entrance here is free, on the beach there are sun loungers, umbrellas, a lifeguard is on duty. The beach is small pebble.

And right behind it is another small beach at the pier. Now the pier is not working, ships do not moor here, so the place has become cozy. There are areas with small pebbles and large ones. You can go down here from Vorontsovsky Park. Of the minuses - for some reason jellyfish often gather here.

Black Bugor Beach is the smallest pebble beach in Alupka and the longest. Several descents lead here, from Cape Verde and from the bus station area. Car access to Black Bugor beach in Alupka no, but you can drive up to a wild beach, and then walk for 5-10 minutes. Beach Black Hillock in Alupka long, very pleasant, with clean water, small pebbles, almost sand in places. There are locker rooms, a toilet, a cafe with WI-FI, there are sunbeds, umbrellas. You can ride a banana, an ATV or a bun.

Black Bugor beach in Alupka photo.

There are no cons. Beach Black Hill in Alupka- one of the best beaches Alupki, if not the best. The place is very picturesque, from here you can see the panorama of Alupka and Miskhor to the Gasprinsky lighthouse. Evenings on Black Bugor beach in Alupka come to sit by the sea, or even stir up barbecue, because the place is very cozy!

Alupka: city beach

AND last beach- this is the City Beach in Alupka, or "Vorontsov Baths", located below the Vorontsov Park. IN Alupka city beach small pebble, equipped with sun loungers, changing rooms, there is a toilet. There is also a lifeguard on duty. There are a couple of cafes on the waterfront. The pier does not work here, boats do not go. The descent here is from Vorontsovsky Park. - This is a rather crowded place, also very beloved by the locals. So to take a good place you need to come early in the morning.

In Alupka, walking along the lower alley of the Vorontsovsky Park, you can fully enjoy the divine aroma of the Aleppo pine! Some people have been coming to Alupka for years just to be able to breathe this air. In a grove not far from the city beach, you can always see people cozying up on rugs with provisions for the whole day. Here, where the Allep pine descends to the very sea, on the hottest day, rising cool breezes, a pleasant shade, seagulls and the sound of the surf. There is no better place to read a book to the sound of cicadas or just lie back and think about pleasant things. Well, if you get bored - a minute of descent - and splashing in the azure waters of a small closed bay on city beach of Alupka. The reviews for this place are positive.

We reviewed the reviews about the beaches in Alupka, the children's beach, the frog beach in Alupka, the Black Hillock beach, the city beach in Alupka and you can decide for yourself which beach in Alupka is the best. Don't forget to download the offline map of Travelinka. A good resort on the South Coast of Alupka. Photos of the beaches and the promenade proved this once again. If you are interested in Crimea, I also advise you to read other articles.

Alupka is popular resort town, located in the heart of the southern coast of Crimea, where vacationers come en masse, they talk about it and even sing songs, putting Alupka on a par with Sochi in them. And obviously not by chance.

Alupka is located in the center of the Crimean subtropical coastal strip and is surrounded by the greenery of exotic vegetation. It is enough to board a boat on the Alupka pier and look at the city from the water, and you will see it in all its glory, marvel at how well it is landscaped.

In Alupka, as in other villages of the Crimean southern coast, there is a wonderful climate with little rain, mild and warm winters, and in addition, the city is protected from the winds by a mountain range headed by the “toothy” beauty Ai-Petri. Summer is not so hot here. Sea breezes protect from the heat, creating comfort during the rest.

The sea itself in Alupka is clean, but for those who like to soak up the soft sandy beaches, disappointment awaits: in these places the coastal strip consists exclusively of pebbles, stones and rocks. There are, of course, advantages: no sand will accidentally get into your eyes if a strong wind breaks out, and sea water will never be cloudy from waves - on pebble beaches, the water is always cleaner than on sandy ones.

Alupka. breakwaters

Despite the purity of the water, not everyone likes the Alupka beaches. The fact is that they are rather narrow and in summer they are always crowded with people. About them in July-August, you can literally say that there is nowhere for an apple to fall - no personal space.

Alupka, Crimea. Beaches in Alupka

Some tourists believe that it is better not to stop in Alupka for this reason, but it is more rational to do it in neighboring Miskhor. Alternatively, come here velvet season, September, when the sea is still warm, and there are already noticeably fewer vacationers. You can roll into Alupka at the beginning of the season - in April-May, when the beaches are not yet teeming with endless crowds of people. But only seasoned beachgoers will be able to fully swim during this period, because the sea is still cold.

Not everyone will like the fact that almost all Alupka beaches look artificial because of the numerous concrete breakwaters. On the other hand, these breakwaters are convenient for those who like to dive. Anyway, wild beaches you will not find in Alupka. This is too tidbit of the southern coast of Crimea, so that there are free places here. Some coastal sections of the city have been chosen by former and current high-ranking officials and multimillionaires.

The convenience of Alupka's location is another reason why it gained popularity and became so popular. The “resort capital” of Yalta is only 17 km from here, the city is surrounded by no less tasty Miskhor and Simeiz, the picturesque mountain Ai-Petri rises above Alupka, where the only one of its kind leads from Miskhor cable car, and in nearby Gaspra rises the symbol of the entire Crimea - a unique palace bird home. This is despite the fact that I have not yet remembered that within a radius of 30 kilometers from here there is a whole constellation of attractions, most of which are the main ones in Crimea.

On the streets of Alupka

In Alupka there is a landmark that people come to see from everywhere, but sightseeing buses sometimes line up. It competes with the Livadia Palace for the title of the most luxurious residence. Crimean peninsula. Of course, we are talking about the Vorontsov Palace and the park, in the green arms of which this luxury palace located.

Alupka. Vorontsov Palace

Housing in Alupka is almost the same as in Yalta. Prices for a double room in hotels in the summer start from 600 rubles. In August, prices jump to their maximum, and there are few accommodation options during this peak period, which is why rooms “go under the hammer” at almost any price. Despite some shortcomings of this resort, there are people who want to relax here every year - they are attracted by the convenience of Alupka's location, its historical palace and its incomparable park. Word of mouth is doing its job: having heard from friends about the charms of Alupka, more and more vacationers come here every year, and city beaches are becoming more and more crowded, which, of course, does not make this resort more attractive.

Alupka. A park

You can ride to neighboring cities and towns, including Yalta, from Alupka not only by a banal taxi or minibus, but also by a regular boat across the sea, with a breeze. There are boats several times a day, and the impressions of the time spent in such a romantic way on a ship overlooking the wonderful Crimean coast and mountains will remain in your memory for a long time. Don't forget to take your camera with you!

Vorontsov Palace and Park Complex

It was this object that at one time radically influenced the fate of Alupka and contributed to the fact that a modest village began to grow and subsequently turned into a whole city. This happened after the Russian statesman, Governor-General of the Novorossiysk Territory Mikhail Vorontsov decided to build his summer residence here - for some reason he liked these places.

Alupka. Vorontsov Palace

The palace and the park were built thoroughly, for a long 20 years, English, German, Italian, French architects, gardeners, sculptors, artists worked on them, and serfs were involved in the construction work. The architecture of the palace contains elements of various eras, and it was built in an unusual Gothic-Moorish style. Grey-green color Vorontsov Palace due to the fact that it was built from a special stone - diabase, which has a non-standard volcanic origin and is very durable. Imagine that Red Square in Moscow is paved with exactly the same Crimean diabase.

Alupka. Vorontsov Palace

The Vorontsov Palace is one of the most visited museums in Crimea, where personal belongings of the Vorontsov family are kept, and the interior has been preserved in the style of the 19th century.

Alupka. Vorontsov Palace

Of course, nosy filmmakers could not ignore the palace. Many scenes and episodes were filmed in and around it, which then became part of the films, some of them are famous. These are the films "An Ordinary Miracle", "D'Artagnan and the Three Musketeers", "The Journey of Pan Klyaksa", "Sky Swallows", "Sappho".

No less admirable is the park, created under the guidance of the scrupulous German gardener Karl Kebach. The area of the park together with the palace is about 40 hectares.

In Vorontsovsky park

In the lower part of the park there is an excellent embodiment of the architect's idea - a tea house with columns and a fountain. And even lower you can go down to good beach without any breakwaters, with large stones and natural baths with stagnant water and shallow depth. This beach is suitable for children, which is why it is called a children's beach.

There is a rock near the beach, the upper part of which is not pointed, but looks like a plateau and therefore it is comfortable to sit on it. It is called the rock of Aivazovsky, this is announced by the corresponding tablet. The rock was named for a reason: the great marine painter Ivan Aivazovsky liked to work on his paintings while sitting on it.

The downside is that it is problematic to drive up to the palace and park complex by car, since cars are apparently invisible here and it is often difficult to pass each other due to crowding. And parking at the entrance to the complex is not cheap - 200 rubles for 2 hours. But a couple of hours is too little to enjoy this unforgettable creation of man and nature to the fullest.

Despite minor flaws, the Vorontsov Palace with the park of the same name is what people go to Alupka for excursions and settle in during the holidays.

A single ticket giving the right to visit all the expositions and exhibitions of the palace and park complex costs 300 rubles. For the right to take photos or videos, you need to pay an extra 30 rubles. And walk along palace park with a guide you can for 50 rubles. Feel the amazing atmosphere of this unique object, which is the pride of Crimea!

Tasting room Massandra in Alupka

This is another sightseeing object in Alupka, where buses with tourists sometimes stop by. It is located not far from the Vorontsov Palace, and you can go there even immediately after a walk through the palace and park complex.
During the tasting you will be offered 10 types of wines. In a fascinating way they will tell about each of them, tell about the history of winemaking in the Crimea. Get ready and listen to a master class on wine etiquette - it will be informative and interesting. In total, the tasting takes about 45 minutes - you will not regret that you came, and, perhaps, you will purchase the types of wine you like in the Massandra winery's branded store. The cost of tasting is affordable - 150 rubles.

Description of the beach

Alupka is a small town with several beaches, all of which are pebbly. Pebbles are not very large, but not comfortable enough to sunbathe directly on it, spreading a towel. Fortunately, on the beach you can rent a sun lounger and deck chairs.

The beach area is only 100 meters, and its width is about 6. The “back” is covered by a concrete wall, and on both sides the cultural zone is limited by two breakwaters. The same breakwater divides the beach into two parts. Entry into the water, though gentle, but not very convenient, a lot of large stones and boulders. Depth starts pretty close.

Despite some difficulties for swimming, they go to the Vorontsovsky beach with children. There is a special area for them, fenced off from the sea by huge boulders. The shallow lagoon also has a rocky bottom, but the water warms up quickly, the pool is poorly supplied with cold inflow from the sea, and strong waves do not break through here.

You can sit with a sun lounger not only near the water, but also a little higher, on the embankment. There are special zones for this. The promenade is also full of small shops and stalls selling ice cream, drinks and souvenirs. There are bars and cafes where you can sit out the heat, have a drink, have a snack.

Privacy lovers can go away from Central beach, but behind the breakwaters on the left and right, a wild zone already begins. Vorontsov baths are provided with all amenities:

  1. Umbrellas and sun loungers.
  2. Locker rooms, showers.
  3. Free toilet.
  4. There is a rental of beach equipment.
  5. Fans of active fun ride "bananas" and catamarans.
  6. There are shops and kiosks.

For serious entertainment, you need to go to neighboring Yalta. Alupka is quiet and calm. People come here to take a break from the hustle and bustle, breathe in the mountain air, gain strength under the gentle sun in the warm sea. The main pride of Alupka is the health resorts that began to work here more than 100 years ago.

When is the best time to go?

The weather conditions in the Crimea depend on the place where you will rest: if south coast relatively warm and humid, it can be cooler and drier elsewhere. The ideal time for a trip is the period from the end of May to the first half of July inclusive, when the air and the sea have already warmed up (23-25 degrees), but there is no real heat yet. If you like even warmer weather, choose the second half of July-beginning of August.

Infrastructure

It was thanks to the sanatorium and resort institutions that the infrastructure of Alupka began to develop. Pine air and aroma of park plants complemented sea breeze, create a unique atmosphere of the city.

Those who travel to Alupka with children must take into account that the whole city consists of descents and ascents. This is especially true in the upper part of the city. In a company with toddlers or elderly parents, it is better to rent housing in another area. Walking to the sea and back every day on steep hills will be tiring.

Tourists settle in sanatoriums and boarding houses, stay in mini-hotels or accept offers from owners in the private sector. The latter option often has as an added bonus a cozy courtyard with southern vegetation, exotic palms, figs and peach trees. If you arrive at the right time, you may even be lucky to taste the fruits from them. Persimmon, for example, will ripen only by winter.

Most of the hotels are middle class. Many guest houses and offers in the private sector, where cottages for large groups are popular.

The infrastructure around the Vorontsov Baths may not seem active enough. There are no noisy bars and discos in the town. To a metropolitan resident, Alupka will generally seem like a village or a village. But many come here precisely for this measured life, under the protection of calm Ai-Petri, in the soothing lush greenery, in the healing air.

The city has no airport or railway station. Tourists make do with buses, trolleybuses and taxis running between cities. In Alupka itself, you can use the only ring bus plowing the city in a circle. And you may not use it. For an experienced walker, an hour and a half from one end locality in the other - not a hook.
