The sea is often stormy, and the sky is overcast. Tours to Yalta in October are losing popularity, and with it prices are falling. At the same time, when the sun warms the city air with warmth, walks along the promenade and sightseeing of local attractions become popular, which look especially attractive without crowds of tourists.

Holiday experience in October

Unfortunately, in this wonderful resort city, I brought only one October day during my visit to Crimea .. We came from Sevastopol by bus to see the main sights.

Why is it better to relax in August?

I can only judge by the reviews of local residents and other tourists. I think in August it is quite possible to combine beach holiday and sightseeing. In October, of course, there are advantages - stunning colors of autumn, fewer tourists, prices are not so high, including airfare.

What to take with you on vacation?

Since we arrived only for one day from Sevastopol, we dressed for the weather, but just in case, I put a spare warm sweater in my bag. Very useful in the mountains, when visiting the cable car. It is very windy there, and in the evening, when we returned back, it was already cold.

What to do at the resort?

In one day we managed to see the Swallow's Nest, Vorontsov Palace, ride along cable car Ai-Petri, visited the tasting of Massandra wines.

By the way, we did not go up the cable car to Ai-Petri. The guys on a minibus recruited a group of tourists to get to the top and at the same time visit two places: the Wuchang-Su waterfall and the "Silver Arbor" of Nicholas II. This proposal seemed tempting and we agreed. In addition, we did not have to pay for the ascent by cable car, only for the descent.

We got to the Swallow's Nest along the stairs, on the way the photographer caught us and rather insistently offered to take a photo, we refused. They didn’t take an excursion inside the mansion, they looked around from the outside and, of course, took pictures.

I think it will be quite difficult for older people to overcome all the steps.

We got into the minibus and drove off.

Stop - waterfall. I liked it very much in the mountains, especially on the way to the waterfall, the autumn forest is very beautiful.

The next stop is the Silver Gazebo. The place is very romantic. They say there is a stunning view from there, but unfortunately the fog was too thick, and it was absolutely impossible to see anything. But this has its own charm. The place is like a magnet, you don't want to leave.

By the way, on the way to the gazebo, I accidentally stepped on a mountain stream and got my shoes a little wet.

Therefore, I advise you to carefully look under your feet or wear waterproof shoes.

Photos in the forest against the background of fog turned out to be very textured, I would even say in the style of the movie "Twilight".

The view from the mountain is of course amazing: an autumn forest in a pile of clouds. But what struck me and angered me was the garbage on the mountainside, cans, bags, plastic bottles, wrappers, mountains of cigarette butts. I don’t understand how people raise their hands to crap in such a beautiful place.

As soon as the group gathered, we went down the mountain in the cabin in two stages.

I liked it, the views are amazing. Perhaps it is October that is the most suitable for this descent.

Looked Vorontsov Palace, a park. Beautiful, well maintained, many tourists. There is a sense of peace and grace.

Well, the last point - tasting. We got there by accident, we walked from the Palace to bus stop and stumbled upon a shop tasting room. We chose samples, tried them, and, of course, made purchases.

This is where our short trip ended, we even almost missed our bus to Sevastopol.

It was a wonderful day.

How lucky I was with the weather during my vacation! Arriving in Yalta in early October, I was simply amazed at how warm and sunny the weather here is.

Usually in the middle of autumn it is already full of storms, and the sky is covered with gray clouds. During the whole week of my stay in this wonderful city, the temperature did not fall below 20 degrees during the day, and sometimes reached 25 degrees. It felt like a second spring had arrived.

At night, however, it was much cooler, about 8-10 degrees Celsius. After sunset, it is better not to go outside without a warm jacket and sweater. By the evening it became windy, which essentially made it clear that October was in the yard.

October can be called a month of calm after a stormy holiday season. There are almost no tourists on the streets of the city. I'm more than satisfied with this vacation.

In order not to get bored, I rented a bike almost every day and rode along the entire embankment.

For a long time I wanted to visit swallow's nest, so I ordered a boat trip right to Cape Ai-Todor. This miracle sight is located 20 kilometers from Yalta. Impressions are indescribable! Such beauty is breathtaking.

Another attraction that I really wanted to see is the Livadia Palace, which is located in the village of Livadia.

His gardens are reminiscent of the gardens of churches in Italian towns. Very beautiful and impressive.

Summing up, I can say that I did not find any cons during my vacation. Among the advantages I can highlight:

  • Warm weather.
  • Delicious food in restaurants.
  • Lots of attractions around beautiful places.
  • Few tourists.

When my vacation came to an end, I felt a little sad. So many places I wanted to see... Nothing, I'll catch up next time! Have a good rest and a lot of positive impressions!
