Located not far from the Bolshoi City Pond, School Lake got its name due to its close location to two schools that appeared as a result of intensive development of Zelenograd. The school lake appeared artificially: once upon a time it served as a reservoir for replenishing the water of locomotives following from Moscow to St. Petersburg. With the advent of electric trains, the need railway transport disappeared in the water, and now School Lake pleases local residents and visiting Muscovites.

Serebryany Bor is an island connected to Moscow by the Khoroshovsky Bridge. There are two beaches on this island where you can officially swim (although the site says three). By private car you can drive only with a special pass, but public transport and taxis are free.
If you arrived by minibus, you will immediately find yourself in front of the beach number 3 "Admiral". There are many different activities here: ping-pong, volleyball, football, boat and catamaran rental, and all this for money. There are changing rooms, showers and toilets. There are also a lot of tents that can be rented for a holiday, so you can often meet walking weddings and corporate parties here.
Beach number 2 is higher. It is better to relax here with children: there is a mini-zoo, a well-equipped children's playground and a trampoline. As on the third beach, here is a sand-grass beach, the bottom is muddy.
Somewhere not far from beach number 3 is a nudist beach. Be careful if you are not ready for such spectacles.
